What Your Job Will Be Like
Assistant Professor Liu Xiaogang's group is looking for a postdoc to calculate and study spectral properties of organic dyes and explore their working mechanism.
The postdoctoral researcher will work as part of a team and interact closely with both computational chemists and experimentalists. Research topics include (but are not limited to) developing novel fluorophores with enhanced brightness, photostability and environmental sensitivities, and fluorescent probes with various functionalities using quantum chemistry methods.
This job is for a one-year period, with the option for further extension.

Qualifications We Require
PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a closely related field
Published evidence of scientific contributions
Qualifications We Desire
Experience with excited state quantum chemistry calculations.
A strong passion for research
Good understanding of photochemistry, photophysics and biochemistry
Good communication (both speaking and writing) skills and team spirit
