Research Scientist in Computational HeterogeneousCatalysis
An Openingfor a Research Scientist is available in the Material Science and ChemistryDepartment at the A*STAR Institute of High Performance Computing (IHPC). The successfulcandidate will focus on mechanistic studies of heterogeneous catalyticreactions and catalyst design using theoretical modeling. The candidate shouldbe able to work independently, yet be a good team player. He/she should possessexcellent analytical, technical and problem-solving skills, as well as goodscientific writing and presentation skills.
If you areshare our interest in solving challenging scientific problems and have a PhD inChemistry/Chemical Engineering/Material Science or equivalent, we invite you toapply the position.
Requirements
· Solidknowledge in surface chemistry and heterogeneous catalysis
· Experiencewith surface reaction modeling and electronic structure calculations using DFTmethod
· Experiencewith Python scripting
· Experiencewith high-throughput computational catalyst materials screening is an addedadvantage
